muahahahhahaa!! woke up early today!! was a cool windy day. (: totally different from the heat and the usual sun we've been experiencing for the past 2 days!! went for MedFest where there were stalls set up by various medical associations and then went for some living and learning in Australia talk... grabbed a whole bunch of free Cadbury Easter Eggs... they had real caramel milk(white in colour) and an egg yolk.. all in caramel... (: cool!! koped a few eggs, and some tim tam biscuits home. (: then went for some free lunch.. was sure good stuff!! (: muahahaha feel like this poor kid who survives on welfare giveaways. oh wells... free food is always good food. had roast chicken... like the huge drumstick, some salad, bread.. and pasta.. (: cool!! good thing we were early cos the queue was super long after that. (: also managed to settle my Working With Children Check and Police Check paper work... just need to fill in the Immunisation and Vaccination forms and i'm ready to go for some volunteer work in future!!
Then we sorta bought our metcard at a discount... 10 2hourly trips cost $18.60... so much cheaper than the $2.40 we pay each time we board the bus! we calculated the timings before making a trip to Box Hill. it sure was a nice place.. sth like clayton town.. with more chinese shops like those on the streets and it had the bigger supermarkets like Safeway and Target.. (: and sure had familiar shops like Giordano. (: this place was kinda special cos it was the bus terminal too.. and the buses were located at the top of the shopping centre. so the buses had to go up this huge slope to the top of the building.. (: got some containers for my rice and extension cables at the Reject Shop.. well... sure helped me save some cash.. everything there was much cheaper.. got them for 3 bucks each... WoOts! also got some fruits... i have to admit i'm a sucker for fruits and free food... (: gimme those and i'll be there!! muahahahaaa!!
managed to catch the last bus before our ticket expired... (: cool!! i love it when everything goes according to plan!! you see, the ticketing thing works like that... we boarded the bus at 3.15pm.. so for 2 hours it shld be due at 5.15pm.. but the good thing is Aussies do round up things... so it expired at 6pm... and we managed to catch the last bus before 6 which was at 5.50pm but happened to arrive at 5.40pm. so cool!! (: jia did so much shopping that we looked like aunties on a grocery shopping spree. she got crysanthenum flowers to make crysanthenum drink... and we got ginko nuts and barley and dao keee to make good nutritious drinks for ourselves!! muahahhaa!! (: haven started on boiling them yet but it shld be alright!! (: then we headed home to catch some good rest and a shower before heading for more free dinner at the pavilion...
WOOTS!!! i cant get any happier!
we had Kabab dinner... they had a selection of beef and chicken.. and good drinks.. had about 5 sticks of them and loads of apple juice... (: then they had some karaoke singing all the comtemporary english songs.. i also made many new friends staying at SEF... and one more med student from thailand called Tae (19 years old). so... we have 7 med students at SEF!! me, chai, ivie, ravin, li peng and a malay girl and tae. (: so cool!! also got to know this korean guy Leon who's only doing english course here for 6 months... apparently he's finished his masters in Sports alr.. also met some malaysian girls who studied at s'pore before... and one of them happened to be form MGS too.. (: and she's 2 years younger than us but alr in year 2 commerce.. cool!! i feel old suddenly. oh wells.. today has been good... free good food is better than any good food ever! (:
